William Kent (Australian politician)

William Kent (29 March 1856 – 5 February 1906) was a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly.

[1] Kent was born at Jondaryan, Colony of New South Wales (the area would become part of the Colony of Queensland three years later), the son of William Kent Snr.

and his wife Martha (née Turner) and he was educated privately and in Sydney.

[1] On 29 November 1882 he married Emily Celia Sly (died 1952)[2] and together had five sons and two daughters.

[1] Kent died in February 1906 at Oakey and was buried in the Drayton and Toowoomba Cemetery.
