William Lee (23 August 1801 – 29 September 1881) was an English cement merchant and Whig and later Liberal politician who sat in the House of Commons in two periods between 1853 and 1870.
He was a partner of the firm of Lee, Son and Co., lime and cement merchants of London and Rochester, Kent.
[4] He led the campaign to establish the Medway Conservancy Board to facilitate the barge transportation of cement.
[5] His descendants built Holborough Court and continued the development of the cement industry in the area.
