William Seymour (February 22, 1775 – December 28, 1848) was an American lawyer, jurist, and politician who served one term as a United States representative from New York from 1835 to 1837.
[1] Around 1793, he moved to Windsor, New York, attended public schools, studied law under Daniel LeRoy, was admitted to the bar.
In 1833, upon his appointment as first judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Broome County, he returned to Binghamton.
He again served as first judge of Broome County until 1847, then resumed the practice of his profession in Binghamton where he died.
