William Yates (c. 1505 – 1558 or 1559) was an English politician born in Lincoln, England.
He was a Member (MP) of the Parliament of England for Lincoln in 1545.
It is likely that his family had lived in Lincoln since the early reign of Henry VIII.
In 1541, he served as a member of the grand jury before which Thomas Culpeper and Francis Dereham were tried.
