The borough of Williamstown, a separate municipality, is located in the southern part of the township.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 8.8 square miles (22.9 km2), all land.

There were 504 housing units at an average density of 57.4 per square mile (22.2/km2).

23.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 11.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
