Windemere Township, Pine County, Minnesota

Windemere Township was organized in 1882, and named after the Windermere lake, in England.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 1,489 people, 640 households, and 455 families residing in the township.

There were 1,347 housing units at an average density of 44.1 per square mile (17.0/km2).

There were 640 households, out of which 23.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.3% were married couples living together, 6.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 28.9% were non-families.

24.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 10.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
