Winnie Nwagi (born on 20 July 1990) is a Ugandan singer[1] and songwriter.
[2] She was born in Namasuba, a commercial town north of Kampala, and raised by her single father.
[3] She started singing at school[4] and, continuing to perform, she struggled to record at many studios.
[5] After competing in a TV talent show, she gained the attention of music producer Benon Mugumbya, who gave her a contract with Swangz Avenue.
[3][6] Nwagi's popular songs include firedancer, musawo, bunsonso mola and embeera, released in 2014.
