Yigal Bashan

Yigal Bashan (Hebrew: יגאל בשן‎; 11 September 1950 – 9 December 2018) was an Israeli singer-songwriter, and actor.

Born Yigal Bashari (יגאל בשארי) in Rishon LeZion, Israel, to a family of Mizrahi Jewish (Yemenite-Jewish) descent.

Bashan's solo career post-military featured a fusion of Western and Israeli musical styles, resulting in multiple hit songs Bashan was a member of the pop trio "Kmo Tzoanim" (Hebrew: "Like Gypsies") that appeared on the "Hopa Hey" Israeli children's television show,[2] where he collaborated with Yonathan Miller, Uzi Hitman and Tzipi Shavit.

He also sang the opening theme song of the Hebrew dub of The Wonderful Adventures of Nils.

In the last few years of his life, Bishan developed clinical depression after dealing with chronic pain.
