Yonan Kim clan

The Yonan Kim clan (Korean: 연안 김씨; Hanja: 延安 金氏) is a Korean clan, with the bon-gwan (ancestral seat) based in Yonan, South Hwanghae Province, North Korea.

The progenitor of the clan is considered to be Kim Sŏm-han (김섬한; 金暹漢) who served as a samun paksa (사문박사; 四門博士) during the reign of King Myeongjong of Goryeo.

The most influential individual from the Yonan Kim clan during this period was Kim An-ro, who rose to the position of Left State Councillor during the reign of King Jungjong and married his one of his sons to the king's daughter.

She was later deposed as the queen dowager by her step-son, Gwanghaegun, before being reinstated by his successor, Injo.

[3] The 2015 South Korean census recorded 93,382 individuals who were members of the Yonan Kim clan.
