Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk railway station

[1] This station was opened in 1906 as Vladimirovka Station as part of the Korsakov (Ōdomari) - Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Toyohara) line.

In 1925, the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk–Kurskaya–Sakhalinskaya (Suzuya) line opened and the station became a hub.

The first track has a low landing platform with a train station built in the 1980s.

In 2018, the railway was regauge into Russian gauge[3] and it was completed in August 2019.
