Zafar Azam

Azam contested the 1988 North-West Frontier Province provincial election from PF-33 Karak-II as an independent candidate, but was unsuccessful.

He received 12,188 votes and was defeated by Nawabzada Mohsin Ali Khan, a candidate of Islami Jamhoori Ittehad (IJI).

[1] He contested the 1990 North-West Frontier Province provincial election from PF-33 Karak-II as a candidate of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) (JUI(F)), but was unsuccessful.

He received 15,012 votes and defeated Nawabzada Mohsin Ali Khan, a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML(N)).

[2] After not being nominated by his party, JUI(F), he contested the 2008 North-West Frontier Province provincial election from PF-41 Karak-II as an independent candidate, but was unsuccessful.
