Zella, Texas

Zella is a ghost town in McMullen County, Texas, United States.

It was settled in 1913 on the route of the San Antonio, Uvalde and Gulf Railroad.

The company helped construct a hotel, rail depot, a well and other building.

A post office operated opened in 1914m and began declining after its closure in 1916.

The community served as a shipping point for cattle drovers until 1959.
