He is a two-time national champion and he won a silver medal in the 60 metres hurdles at the 2018 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships.

[1] Zeng's first national championship title came in the 2019 indoor season, when he won the 60 m hurdles in a time of 7.62 seconds.

[3] Zeng closed out his 2019 outdoor season with a win at the Chinese Athletics Championships and a silver medal at the Military World Games, both in the 110 m hurdles.

[1] At the 2020 Chinese Athletics Championships, Zeng took an early lead, but Xie Wenjun pulled away in the final metres to win by 0.3 seconds.

He was rushed to emergency surgery in Shanghai and did not compete at the 2021 Summer Olympics.
