The Zuidas (literally South Axis in Dutch) is a rapidly developing business district in the city of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
The greatest influences for the development of the Zuidas are La Défense in Paris and Canary Wharf in London.
[3] It is expected to become the fifth busiest passenger station in the Netherlands, with connections to Schiphol Airport, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Brussels, and Paris via the Thalys, a high-speed rail.
With the completion of the North South line, the Zuidas has an even better connection to the city center.
[10] In 2005, floor space in Zuidas amounted to 3,000,000 square metres (32,000,000 sq ft).
