The 1989–90 Virginia Cavaliers women's basketball team represented the University of Virginia during the 1989–90 NCAA Division I women's basketball season.

The Cavaliers were led by 13th-year head coach Debbie Ryan, and played their home games at University Hall in Charlottesville, Virginia as members the Atlantic Coast Conference.
