2021–22 Miami Heat season

The Heat looked to improve after the previous season's first-round exit sweep against the eventual champion Milwaukee Bucks.

On August 6, 2021, the Miami Heat acquired Kyle Lowry from the Raptors via a sign-and-trade in exchange for Goran Dragić and Precious Achiuwa.

During the 2022 playoff run, Lowry missed multiple games due to a hamstring injury.

On May 27, in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals, Lowry recorded a double-double of 18 points and 10 assists in a 111–103 win over the Boston Celtics.

On March 18, with a win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Heat won the Southeast Division.
