The 2021 Sisakht earthquake which had a magnitude of 5.4 Mw, struck 28 km northwest of Yasuj, Iran at around 18:35 (UTC) on February 17.
[1] No deaths were reported however 63 people sustained injuries and extensive damage was observed in numerous cities near the epicenter.
[5] At least 77 people had been reported to have suffered injuries from falling debris, 14 of which were from a magnitude 4.9 aftershock that struck about a week later.
Five emergency ambulances were deployed to aid the injured people with basic healthcare service.
There were also about 945 blankets, 6,644 kilograms of plastic sheets, 214 sets of heaters 1,965 food parcels and 70 groundsheets were distributed to the victims.
