The inaugural edition of the Small States of Europe Badminton Championships was held in Cospicua, Malta, from 3 to 5 November 2023.

The tournament was originally planned to be held in Larnaca, Cyprus in 2020 but was later postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

[2] This tournament was held at the Cottonera Sports Complex in Cospicua, Malta.

Monaco whom were one of the few nations that envisioned this tournament were not invited to participate.
