Aberra Kassa

Aberra Kassa (Amharic: አበራ ካሣ; 1905 – 21 December 1936) was an army commander and a member of the Royal family of the Ethiopian Empire.

During the early days of the Italian occupation of Ethiopia, Aberra Kassa was part of the armed Ethiopian resistance.

Following the flight of Emperor Haile Selassie, the sons of Ras Kassa became the royal focus of the resistance.

Following the liberation of Ethiopia in 1941, Woizero Kebbedech Seyum was given the rank of Woizero-hoy and recognized as among the foremost resistance leaders of the occupation in her own right.
