The Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club (hereafter referred to as “ADEC”) was originally established in 1976 by the late President, His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
This included the construction of a new fibreturf grass racetrack and the installation of floodlights, enabling racing events to be held after sunset.
A state-of-the-art grandstand, with a seating capacity of 5,000, was constructed, featuring corporate hospitality boxes, VIP suites, and administration offices, available all season.
Today, the sprawling 200-acre complex boasts a turf racetrack, sand training tracks, indoor and outdoor equestrian arenas, stables, a riding school, veterinary clinic, and a well-lit-9-hole golf course.
Seasonally, ADEC plays host to numerous horse racing events, typically running from November through March.
