It is an erect, spreading shrub, with elliptic to egg-shaped leaves, and spikes of tube-shaped, pale green, cream-coloured or white flowers, and succulent red drupes.
The flowers are arranged in spikes of 5 to 10 with bracteoles 1.0–1.2 mm (0.039–0.047 in) long at the base of the sepals.
Flowering occurs from September to October and the fruit is a red, flattened spherical drupe 3.8–7 mm (0.15–0.28 in) in diameter.
[2][3] Acrotriche aggregata was first formally described in 1810 by Robert Brown in his Prodromus Florae Novae Hollandiae et Insulae Van Diemen.
