Adamu Ahmed

Adamu Ahmed (born 2 April 1964) is a Nigerian academician and Professor of Urban and Regional Planning.

On 5 February 2025, the Governing Council of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, announced him as the 14th substantive Vice-Chancellor of the institution.

[1][2][3][4] He did his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, where he earned BSc in Geography, MSc and PhD in Urban and Regional Planning in 1990 and 2000 respectively.

[5] Earlier, Prof. Ahmed was appointed by Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar as chairman of committee on land administration system in Bauchi State.

[8][9] His latest appointment, which takes effect from 1 May 2025, followed a meeting of the Governing Council of the Ahmadu Bello University led by Dr. Mahmud Yayale Ahmed.
