Basal leaves are large, kidney-shaped or heart-shaped, leaf margin is toothed.

Cauline leaves are arranged in alternating fashion with successively smaller size and are petiolated.

The preferred habitat of this species are wooded areas with tall grasses, rocks, and moraines.
