Aglionby Ross Carson FRSE LLD (1780 – 4 November 1850) was a Scottish educationalist and author.
He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 1821 and in 1826 the University of St Andrews awarded him an honorary doctorate (LL.D).
He died in Edinburgh on 4 November 1850 and is buried in Greyfriars Kirkyard with his wife Anne Irving and four of their children.
[citation needed] His portrait, by Sir John Watson Gordon, is held by the Royal High School, Edinburgh.
