Agomé-Yoh

Agomé-Yoh or Agomé-Yo is a Togolese commune in the Kloto Prefecture, in the southwest of Togo in the Plateaux region.

The commune is close to Togo's most visited waterfall, Kamalo Falls, and remains the seat of the traditional authority of the Agomé people.

[1] Thus, although the nearby commune of Kpalimé, formerly Agomé-Kpalimé, became more significant from the 18th century onwards, the center of Agomé power is located there, and they retain the supreme chieftaincy of their people.

[3] One of the chiefs of Agomé-Yoh, Togbui Tsally Kokou Senyo, played a significant role in the struggle for Togo's independence.

[4] The chief, Togbui Tsally, later became an important supporter of the Gnassingbé regime and continued his activities,[4] such as organizing libations and ceremonies]in the community.
