Agriocnemis pinheyi is a species of damselfly in the family Coenagrionidae.
It is found in Mozambique, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and possibly Malawi.
Its natural habitats include standing waters in open highlands (often grasslands), usually with emergent grasses; often boggy.
[2] The patterns of colour on the thorax and abdomen of the wisps are striking, but are seldom useful for identification as they are similar in many of the species and they vary considerably with age.
