[1] Ajax is the oldest continuous engine product line manufactured in the United States and has been utilized in the oil and gas industry for 130+ years.

[2] The Ajax Iron Works started in 1877 in Corry, Pennsylvania, manufacturing steam engines.

In 1958, the first Ajax integral engine / compressor was manufactured and was specifically designed for field gas gathering applications.

This was followed by the DPC 800 in 1984. Cooper Machinery Services is the current original equipment manufacturer for Ajax engines and compressors.
