Alan Beat Frei (born 27 March 1982)[1] is a Filipino-Swiss entrepreneur, economist and curler.
[1] Influenced by minimalists like Andrew Hyde and Nicolas Berggruen, Alan Frei began to simplify his life in 2014.
Alan Frei began curling at age 41 in 2023 as part of a "weight loss journey", aiming to compete in the 2026 Winter Olympics.
[12] Their first tournament was the 2023 Pan Continental Curling Championships (PCCC), held from October 29 to November 4 in Kelowna, British Columbia.
[14] The rink would also go on to represent the Philippines at the 2025 Asian Winter Games, where they would win the gold medal, beating South Korea 5–3 in the final.
