Aleksandrs Kudrjašovs (born 3 October 1939)[1] is a primate in the Latvian Orthodox Church and the Metropolitan of Riga and all Latvia.
Aleksandrs was born on October 3, 1939, in Rudzāti, Latvia.
[1] In 1982, he was ordained as a priest in the Church of Elijah, in the town of Ust'-Syny (Усть-Сыны), Perm, and in 1983, he was appointed as head priest of the Church of the Holy Transfiguration in Riga.
[1] In 1989, he graduated from Moscow Theological Academy and became a monk and a Archimandrite.
Since October 1990, he has been serving as the metropolitan of the Latvian Orthodox Church.
