He holds a master's degree in Electrical Machinery from the Technical University - Sofia and a master's degree in Marketing and Management from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia.

Alexander Dimitrov is chief executive officer of A1 Bulgaria,[1] formerly known as Mtel,[2] before its rebranding in 2018.

Alexander Dimitrov joined Mtel’s team from Vivacom, another Bulgarian telecom, where he was chief commercial officer since 2008.

[4] He was named Manager of the Year 2018[5] in the most prestigious competition for leadership achievements in the Bulgaria.

Alexander Dimitrov is also a member of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria's management board as of March 2017.
