[2][3][1] These frogs have been found in igapó forests in which the streams seasonally flood to form interconnected pools.
The male frogs exhibit territorial behavior, possibly related to the long duration of courtship.
[1] The tadpoles develop in the pools of water that form when the streams flood.
[1] The IUCN classifies this frog as least concern of extinction.
It is subject to some localized threat from logging in the southern portion of its range and from patches of urbanization and mining.
