Allochroa layardi is a species of gastropods belonging to the family Ellobiidae.

[2][1] (Original description in Latin) The ovate-conical shell is reddish-brown and shows a broad, transverse white band.

The whorls are flat and transversely grooved.

The inner lip has inside a single lamella and has a sharp-edged margin.

[3] The species is found in littoral and supralittoral zones of Australia, Malesia, Sri Lanka; Indo-Pacific Ocean from Mauritius to Hawaii.
