It also drains Breisjøen, Steinbruvann, Tokerudbekken, and Østensjøvannet.
It runs through the boroughs of Gamle Oslo, Nordstrand, Helsfyr, Østensjø, Alna, and Grorud.
The Municipality of Oslo is creating linked walking trails and green spaces along the length of the Alna.
