Amanita constricta, commonly known as the constricted grisette[1][2] or great grey-sack ringless amanita[3] is a species of mushroom-forming fungus in the family Amanitaceae.
It is edible, but it is not recommended for consumption due to confusion with poisonous species.
[2] Amanita constricta has a brown cap that is about 2–6 in (5–15 cm) wide.
[1] Amanita constricta is mycorrhizal,[1] and grows under oak and Douglas fir.
[3] It was originally described from California, but its range may extend up into Canada.
