Amherst High School (Wisconsin)

The first dedicated high school building in Amherst was constructed in the spring of 1891; classes started that fall.

[3] The school switched from a three-year to four-year track in 1902.

[3] The student body of AHS is 95% white, 3% Hispanic, 1% Native American, and 1% of students identify as a part of two or more races.

[4] Advanced Placement classes are offered at Amherst; just over a third of students take an AP exam.

[4] Falcons athletic teams compete in the Central Wisconsin Conference.
