Amy Jane Hyatt[1] (born 1955) is an American diplomat who served as United States Ambassador to Palau from 2015 to 2020.
[5] Hyatt began her career as an attorney in San Francisco, focusing on litigation until 1985.
After she joined the Foreign Service, she served at several embassies including ones in Finland, Korea, Thailand, the Philippines, Norway, and the Czech Republic.
Ambassador to Palau, she was a Management Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, Egypt.
[6] Along with seventeen other ambassador nominees, she found her approval by the Senate delayed by filibusters.
