Anaconda is an upcoming American action comedy horror film directed by Tom Gormican, written by Gormican and Kevin Etten, and starring Jack Black, Paul Rudd, Selton Mello, Daniela Melchior, Thandiwe Newton, and Steve Zahn.

It is the sixth installment in the Anaconda film series, and a reimagining of the 1997 film directed by Luis Llosa which starred Jennifer Lopez and Ice Cube, and is set to be produced by Columbia Pictures.

On January 24, 2020, it was announced that Columbia Pictures was developing a reboot of the 1997 cult film Anaconda, with Evan Daugherty attached to write the screenplay.

[2] In August 2024, Jack Black and Paul Rudd were cast in the leading roles, with Tom Gormican confirmed to direct from a screenplay written by Gormican and Kevin Etten.

[4] In January 2025, Thandiwe Newton, Steve Zahn, Selton Mello, and Ione Skye joined the cast, with principal photography beginning that month in Australia.
