Anatoliy Trubin

[2] Trubin had his breakthrough in the 2020–21 season, taking club legend's place Andriy Pyatov in the starting eleven, making 30 appearances, as he made his debut in the Champions League in a 3–2 away win against Real Madrid on 21 October 2020, and also had two clean sheets against Inter Milan in the competition, being credited as the club's player of the season by Shakhtar's fans.

[8] Afterwards, for first games of the season, Trubin remained a backup to Samuel Soares, who took Odysseas Vlachodimos' place after he left the club, before eventually making his debut on 16 September, starting in a 2–1 away win against Vizela in the Primeira Liga.

[9] After the match, his manager Roger Schmidt stated that "he gave Soares a few games, while Trubin adapted to the team and gained confidence, until it was the best time for him to start".

He was called up to the senior side by Andrey Shevchenko on 5 March 2021, for 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against France, Finland and Kazakhstan.

[12] After finishing as one of the best third-placed teams, Ukraine was eventually eliminated in the quarter-finals by England on 3 July, after a 4–0 loss at Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
