Andy Briggs (businessman)

Andy Briggs MBE (born March 1966) is a British businessman and chief executive of Phoenix Group.

[1] He previously served as the Aviva Chief Executive Officer UK Insurance and Global Life and Health as well as the Government Business Champion for Older Workers and NSPCC trustee.

[23] Briggs became chair of the Board of the Association of British Insurers in October 2016 for a two-year term.

[26][27] His role is to encourage other CEO's and business leaders to recruit the over -50's [28][29] as well as addressing issues such as balancing work and care provision.

[31] Some of the UK's largest companies, including Boots and the Co-Op [32] responded by pledging to act on Briggs’ challenge.
