Angels in the Asylum is an upcoming British film directed by Rob Sorrenti in his feature debut.
The film stars Katherine Waterston, Simon Pegg, Minnie Driver, Cush Jumbo, Rose Williams and Miriam Margolyes.
The film is inspired by a BBC Newsnight exposé on the women who were incarcerated from 1907 at Long Grove Asylum in Surrey, a former hospital for the mentally ill, because they were typhoid carriers.
The film is produced by Heather Greenwood, Marie-Elena Dyche and Charlotte Carey.
