[2][3] It was described as a species of air-breathing land slug, a shell-less terrestrial gastropod mollusk in the family Arionidae, the roundback slugs.
This slug was described from the Czech Republic by J. Babor & J. Košťál in 1893 in Jarov near Závist as Arion (Microarion) vejdovskýi.

It is not mentioned in recent lists of molluscs recorded in the Czech Republic[10][11][12] but it is still mentioned in various internet pages and in databases (see above for references).
Due to its uncertain taxonomic status, it is regarded on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species with the status DD (Data Deficient).
