Arndt von Haeseler

Arndt von Haeseler (born 28 February 1959) is a German bioinformatician and evolutionary biologist.

Arndt von Haeseler obtained a doctorate in mathematics from the University of Bielefeld in 1988 under the supervision of Andreas Dress and Hans-Georg Carstens.

[3] From 1998 until 2001, von Haeseler was a group leader at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig.

[10][11] However, the 2004 article about TREEFINDER in BMC Evolutionary Biology was retracted in 2015 due to the license change.

[12] More precisely, coauthor Gangolf Jobb had forbidden use of the software in the USA and several European countries as an anti-immigration political statement.
