The unincorporated communities of Arthur and Union are located in the town.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 721 people, 237 households, and 191 families living in the town.

There were 251 housing units at an average density of 6.9 per square mile (2.7/km2).

13.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
