Arthur Baker (c. 1930 – December 2016) was the creator of a distinctive and dramatic style of brush and pen calligraphy.
He attended school on the West Coast of the United States and New York City, where he studied under Oscar Ogg, George Salter, and Tommy Tompson.
[1][2] Baker studied letterforms and historical calligraphic styles, about which he wrote many books.
His hobbies included designing, making and flying paper airplanes.
