Assendelft

Assendelft (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌɑsə(n)ˈdɛl(ə)ft]) is a town in the province of North Holland, Netherlands.

[5] The North Sea Canal connects Assendelft with Amsterdam and Velsen, and it lies about 13 km northeast of Haarlem and about 15 km south of Alkmaar.

The town is served by Krommenie-Assendelft railway station.

From here, there are four trains an hour to Amsterdam, with a journey time of 25 minutes.
