Atelopus monohernandezii is a species of toads in the family Bufonidae.

It is endemic to Colombia and only known from the vicinity of its type locality on the western slope of the Cordillera Oriental, Santander Department.

[2] Atelopus monohernandezii occurs in humid cloud forests at elevations of 1,700–2,200 m (5,600–7,200 ft) above sea level.

[1] Specimens in the type series were collected during the day while active on the forest floor and riverbank.

The species has been recorded in the Santuario de fauna y flora Guanentá Alto Río Fonce [es].
