Atelopus planispina

[1][2][3] According to the IUCN SSC Amphibian Specialist Group, it is restricted to the Napo Province,[1] although other sources suggest somewhat wider range.

[1] Common names Planispina's harlequin frog,[3] Napo stubfoot toad, and flat-spined atelopus have been coined for it.

[4] The upper parts are pale green to orange with large black spots.

The flanks are light green and the ventral parts are pale orange.

[3] Atelopus planispina inhabit humid montane forests at elevations of 1,000–2,000 m (3,300–6,600 ft) above sea level.
