Augustus Weismann (March 6, 1809, in Kingdom of Württemberg – 1884) was an American politician from New York.
He attended school in his native village and Schorndorf.
In 1832, he emigrated to the United States, and settled in New York City.
Afterwards he bought a farm in New Jersey and engaged in agricultural pursuits.
He entered politics as a Democrat, became a Free Soiler in 1848; and joined the Republican Party upon its foundation in 1855.
