Aujuri railway station

It is part of the Northeast Frontier Railway zone.

[1] On 16 April 2014, around 2:15am Guwahati bound BG Express derailed derailed between Aujuri and Jagiroad station, it's leading to approx.

[2] At the time of the accident, the train was carrying around 700 passengers.

[3][4] Out of the nine derailed coaches, four fell into a ditch next to the track.

[4] Later on July 9, 2024, a tragic incident took place near Aujuri Railway Station, when a passenger train collided with an adult male elephant crossing the tracks, resulting in the death of that elephant[5] and raising concerns about wildlife safety along railway corridors.
