Banduxu[1] is one of eight parishes in Proaza, a municipality within the province and autonomous community of Asturias, in northern Spain.

Banduxu is located at a distance of 11 km from Proaza, the capital of the council.

The church of St. Mary is of medieval origin and underwent reform in the eighteenth century.

This building, which also served as a prison and town hall, was declared of cultural interest on 29 October 2009.
